Produced through a continuous pour process with the urethane foam matrix sandwiched between layers of polythene film while being moulded into the quality product that you see. This process provides the consistently uniform cushion and imparts the wonderful properties of Stratus as described and even more. With its multi-layered construction you obtain significantly improved acoustic and thermal properties. Stratus is equally effective on virtually any subfloor surface and you will find that Stratus works well with subfloor heating with no increase in cost.

The top (and bottom) films are a first in cushioned underlay products as they are undamaged by processing. This results in a continuous vapour barrier that works for you in several ways. Allergies are a major concern and there is a focus on dust mites in the home. One can clearly see from the construction of Stratus that dust mites simply cannot get into the pad from the carpet (or vice versa). Dust mites are effectively blocked by the Stratus. This is accomplished with no antibiotics or chemicals. This also works for your everyday spills. Children? Pets? Other spills? No problem! The surface skin of Stratus effectively blocks them all so spills are easier to clean and quicker to dry. When time comes whereby your carpet does need cleaning. Stratus is still working for you. By stopping the water and grime on its surface Stratus allows the steam cleaner to do its job properly, removing the grime from your home and allowing the carpets to dry much more rapidly.
