April 2014 we were lucky enough to have our carpets replaced as an insurance job and we decided to replace our underlay at the same time.
We decided to go with a New Zealand manufacutured Stratus underfoot underlay. We have not regretted our decision. The Stratus underfoot underlay is a superior quality than our previous underlay and is beautifully soft underfoot.
Our only regret is that we did not upgrade to a better quality carpet at the same time.

Having wooden floorboards in the bedroom during winter made my asthma worse and I kept coughing, so new carpet and Stratus underlay was installed. I went through the process of getting new carpet roughly 4 years ago in my 3 story townhouse located in Wellington. Another family member had previously used PADCO carpet underlay in Turangi so I enquired if I could also purchase in Wellington and I could. Excellent service and arrived in a timely manner.
When I got new carpet and underlay everyone took their shoes off at the entrance and from then I had a number of compliments of how soft and lush the carpet/underlay felt. It made the apartment feel quite luxurious. The soft cushiony feel remained throughout the 4 years and still felt brand new when I sold the house a few months ago.
Would highly recommend if you are looking for something luxurious and durable.

I have Stratus underlay in my sewing studio. I have noticed the benefit in the length of time I can stand at my long-arm sewing machine, and also in how comfortable it is to kneel on the floor.
